Inka Trail 4D/3N
The famous inca trail to Machu picchu is now on your way, hike with us and enjoy the nature dominated by mountains and your satisfaction will be complete visiting the ruins of the inca trail such as: LLactapata, Runkuraqay, Sayacmarca, Phuyupatamarca and Wiñay wayna.You can feel a great experience arriving to the Sun Gate of Machu picchu, from this point you will enjoy the lost city of the Inkas: Machu picchu. The inca trail is beginning with an arid cactus zone on the Urubamba valley floor, rising through native Polylepis forest to bleak high-altitude grassland, and ending in mossy cloud forest draped with orchids and bromeliads for the next days you will walk in the Andean mountains.
Program:
Day 1: flight to Cusco hotel
Day 2: Cusco: An acclimatization and organization day in Cusco.
Day 3: Cusco _Km82 _Huayllabamba
Early in the morning the bus will take us to the departure point at Km 82 from where we will follow the Urubamba River until we reach the first archeological site"Llaqtapata" (2650 mts ). After lunch and a rest we will continue deeper into the Valley, until reaching the last populated village "Huayllabamba" (3000 mts) where we will set up camp.
Day 4: Huayllabamba _ Pacasmayo
We will spend the morning hiking up to the first pass "Warmiwañusca" (4200mt). From this point we descend for approx. 3 hours to the valley until we reach our second camping area "Pacasmayo".
Day 5: Pacasmayo _ Wiñaywaina
This will be the most varied day. We begin in the morning ascending our second pass "Runcuracay" (3900 mts) and then descend for two hours towards the archeological site of "Sayacmarca". After exploring it, we continue on the original Inca path through semi tropical cloud forest until we reach the third pass "Phuyupatamarca" (3580 mts). With good weather we enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding snow peaks and the valley below. From here it is all downhill until we reach our next camp at "Wiñaywayna", one of the most impressive Archeological sites in the area due to its constructions and location.
Day 6: Wiñaywaina _ Machu Picchu _Cusco
After breakfast, we walk to the Intipunco (Sun gate), We have an overall view of Machupicchu. We will also visit the most important places in Machupicchu, during the afternoon we take the train back to Cusco. inca trail to machu picchu
